There are certain facts in this world that are indisputable: Peanut butter belongs with jelly, Tom will never stop chasing Jerry and all puppies are adorable.

Just take a look at this seven-week-old yellow Labrador retriever <a href="https://twitter.com/NYIslanders/status/1034529923569000448?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwgr%5E373939313b636f6e74726f6c&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nhl.com%2Fnews%2Fislanders-want-you-to-help-name-teams-new-puppy%2Fc-299899400">chosen by New York Islanders players</a> Thomas Hickey and Matt Martin for the team’s <a href="https://www.guidedog.org/GD/E_and_N/islanderspuppywithapurpose.aspx">Puppy with a Purpose partnership</a> with Guide Dog Foundation.

As part of the initiative, the male Lab will spend the next 14 months learning socialization skills with the Islanders, while being trained to aid a child who is blind or visually impaired.

“A few people fell in love with the one we picked,” Martin told <a href="https://www.nhl.com/news/islanders-want-you-to-help-name-teams-new-puppy/c-299899400?tid=281396148">the Islanders website</a>. “I’m excited to see him grow.”

The New York Islanders are the second pro sports team in the state to help out with a service dog. As part of its partnership with BluePath, the New York Rangers “<a href="https://www.nhl.com/news/adam-graves-helps-rangers-introduce-organizations-new-service-dog/c-299700528">signed” a yellow lab named Ranger to the team</a> last month to support him to one day help a child with autism.

You can vote for the Islanders’ new puppy’s name <a href="https://newyorkislanders.formstack.com/forms/puppy">here</a>. The team will reveal the winning name on Wednesday, Sept. 5, and the puppy will begin guide dog training on Sept. 14.
